Reasons to Attend the Virtual PMI20 Manufacturing Success Conference

Convenience and safety. PMI20 will be as close as your computer or tablet screen. There is no need to travel outside of your office to be engaged and enlightened about industry issues and trends.

Keep your work and life on schedule. From Nov. 10-12, you can participate in PMI20’s exciting professional development opportunities for just a few hours a day while staying on top of your work/life responsibilities.

Virtual virtuosity – attention-getting presentations from top-shelf speakers. PMI20’s concise presentations will be designed to gain and sustain your attention. The latest virtual technology will deliver visual interest and opportunities to engage in real time with speakers and fellow members.

Timely content on leadership and innovation gives you the right stuff. Each presentation, including the keynote address (see sidebar at right), will help you position yourself and PMI as leaders and innovators within your organization.

Post-election insights on trade and other issues. A 35-year veteran of politics at the state and national levels, Jim Ellis of Ellis Insight will provide a post-election analysis. A trade update by multinational law firm Crowell & Moring colleagues David Stepp, Evan Y. Chuck, and Robert Clifton Burns will address how the election result may impact this issue.

Everything technical, from PhDs. PMI20 will feature the usual outstanding technical content, with presentations on premise plumbing issues from Dr. Andrew Persily and Dr. Steven Buchburger; on the conditions of public restrooms in light of COVID-19 from Dr. Steven Soifer; and on opportunistic pathogen exposure prevention by Dr. Leanne M. Gilbertson.

A conversation about COVID-19 and the new reality. This presentation will address how COVID-19 will continue to impact work life and the demand for plumbing product innovation. Market researcher Brad Farnsworth of The Farnsworth Group, remote work strategist and advocate Laurel Farrer, and co-chair of the Littler Workplace Safety and Health (OSHA/MSHA) Practice Group Brad Hammock will share their views. This session will be moderated by Ashlei Williams, editor of Plumbing Engineer and chief marketing officer of PHCP Pros.

The Lunar Loo Challenge. Learn more about a contest to seek new designs for a toilet that will work in microgravity and lunar gravity – while enjoying a virtual happy hour!

Member-focused content you can immediately put into practice. In consideration of your time, PMI20 presentations will give you practical information you can apply to meet urgent business challenges and opportunities.

Innovative networking opportunities. PMI20 will be remote physically but not in spirit. The camaraderie you’ve come to expect from PMI gatherings will be fostered through fun activities that will boost the building of relationships and the exchange of useful information.
