Plumbing Manufacturers International's PMI22 Manufacturing Success Conference and 68th Annual Meeting of the Membership

Monday, October 24 to Thursday, October 27, 2022

The PMI22 Manufacturing Success Conference will feature a vibrant city, fun and inspiring venues, compelling keynotes, and not-to-be-missed presentations.

The conference’s main venue, the elegant Omni Louisville Hotel, reflects the past, present and future of Louisville. An easy walk to Main Street’s popular restaurants and local culture, the Omni blends historic surroundings with modern comforts.

Jump start your PMI22 attendance by participating in the PMI Aspiring Leaders Program on Oct. 24. The program will take place at the Muhammad Ali Center– dedicated to the significant impact “The Greatest” made upon our world. Open to all PMI member company employees, this year’s program, “Developing and Leading High-Performing Teams,” will help participants to lead and sustain high-performing teams while developing the skills of each individual.

A special event for attendees will occur at the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, where you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how bats are made, see bats used by your favorite all-stars, and have a chance to take a few swings in a batting cage.

Andrew Winston and Chad Pregracke will be delivering keynote presentations. Winston is a globally recognized expert on megatrends and how to build companies that thrive by serving the world. Pregracke is the founder of Living Lands & Waters, a nonprofit river cleanup organization. Both speakers will address the necessity of environmental responsibility in achieving business success in the 21st century.

Other topics to be covered include a market outlook, digital transformations in home building, reinvented toilets, theory of constraints in manufacturing, air to water technology, urine diversion technology, extended producer responsibility, and much more! Full schedule to be posted soon.

If you have time before or after the conference, a tour of the Kentucky Derby Museum, where every day is Derby Day, is often first on a visitor's list. Located at the historic Churchill Downs racetrack, the museum offers "The Greatest Race," a 360-degree immersive sound and visual race experience that will get your heart racing and emotions soaring. A walking tour of the track and a gift shop, cafe and various exhibits will round out your visit.

Those fond of Kentucky bourbon will find multiple places to get a taste of fine whiskey or to take an extended tour of a distillery. And if you like dinner with your whiskey, the dining scene in Louisville will be equal to your appetite. In addition to traditional Kentucky fare, you will find restaurants featuring regional or ethnic dishes originating in many different places around the globe.

Take time to enjoy Kentucky's mild fall weather outdoors by exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside. Within short driving distance from Louisville are horse farms, Mammoth Cave National Park, and various other lovely spots located among the forests and fields along the Ohio River and its tributaries.
